Background

Marsha and I will be heading to Guangzhou China on March 21. Guangzhou was previously known by the Western world as Canton. It is located around two hours north of Hong Kong and Macau. Its population is between 8 and 11 million people, depending which source you are looking at.

We will be working at a university 1n Guangzhou to get students ready to attend graduate school in the United States next Fall. Marsha will be introducing the students to two MBA classes. I will be helping the students improve their conversational English.

We will be teaching for two months and then will tour for 18 days.

This blog will be our way to keep our friends, family and colleagues enformed about our adventure.

In four weeks we leave for China. This week we will finalize our lesson plans and book list. And we will try to decide which personal items we want to bring from the States.

I would say bring blue jeans, but I think I bought them when I was in Hong Kong... Probably not pens either ?
I'm really excited to hear about this - seems like a great idea.

I don't think Jeans is a good idea, I think any jeans you purchased to pack would be just coming home
